Angie Clark

Angie Clark was crowned Miss Lubbock on November 23, 1999, and additionally won the Swimsuit portion of the competition.  Angie is a 23 year-old, second year law student attending Texas Tech University School of Law.  A Dallas native, Angie has made Lubbock her second home.  She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech in 1995.

For the past year, Angie has worked to promote her platform, The Awareness and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.  For the past four years, she has served as an advocate for abused and neglected children through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Lubbock.  As Miss Lubbock, Angie has been able to speak about her platform to several different organizations throughout the Lubbock community such as The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Lubbock's SEA Chapter, and the Lion's Club. Additionally, Angie has entertained at several functions including the Lubbock Arts Festival, the Lion's Club Pancake Festival, and SantaLand. 

Angie represented Lubbock in the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant this past July.  She was named as a top ten semi-finalist, placing 7th overall among the fifty-eight contestants.  She also won a Preliminary Talent Award for her vocal presentation of "Vanilla Ice Cream".  Including her Miss Lubbock scholarship, Angie has been awarded over two thousand dollars in scholarships to help complete her legal education this year.


Angie plans on completing her legal education in December of 2001 and hopes to pursue a career in family and child advocacy law.
