Lubbock Native Erika Ponce was crowned Miss Lubbock 2005 in a pageant held November 13, 2004.

Erika is the 23 year old daughter of Prissilla Rodriguez of Lubbock. She is a Senior at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma. Erika also won the Most Photogenic, and Swimsuit,  competitions for the pageant.

 Erika's platform, "Mentoring" reflects her personal commitment to living a healthy life style.

The new Miss Lubbock was awarded a variety of gifts and services including an educational scholarship, a wardrobe, makeup and hair care consultations, nail care, tanning & weight control services, a photographic portfolio, and more. She also received an all expense paid trip to Fort Worth, Texas in July 2005 where she represented Lubbock in the 2005 Miss Texas Pageant.
